Position Summary:
The Outreach & Engagement Coordinator serves as the U.S.-based liaison between ACEE’s international marketing team, the U.S.-based operations team, and the JHU student population. This role supports ACEE’s visibility at Johns Hopkins University and abroad by promoting services and events, organizing student engagement efforts, and gathering content for the international marketing team. The ideal candidate is proactive, culturally aware, and passionate about student experience and storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary U.S.-based marketing representative by gathering photos, testimonials, event coverage, and day-in-the-life content for use by the international marketing team, while adhering to local protocols as directed by the program director.
Promote student-centered events, social activities, and networking opportunities.
Assist in coordinating and hosting student events and activities.
Gather data on student interests and propose events, social activities, and networking opportunities to the program director.
Build relationships with international students to increase visibility and participation in ACEE services.
Represent ACEE at orientations, campus events, and community programs.
Collect feedback from students to inform service improvements and engagement strategies
Ensure all local marketing and outreach efforts reflect ACEE’s mission, tone, and brand standards
Requirements:
Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written)
Experience with event planning or community programming, preferably in educational or nonprofit settings
Bachelor's degree or active enrollment in a related field (Education, Counseling, International Studies, Student Affairs, etc.)
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficient with Google Workspace, Canva, Zoom, and related tools
Demonstrated cultural awareness and comfort working with diverse student populations
Experience in student engagement, marketing, or program coordination
Strong communication skills, including content creation and cross-cultural communication
Ideal Background:
Background in higher education or student support services
Understanding of the international student experience
Familiarity with the JHU student community (current or former student involvement preferred)
Compensation:
Part-time salaried position: Based on experience
Approximately 15–20 hours per week
Professional Development Stipend of $500 per year
